Involved In The Community

The staff of the Animal Health Clinic realizes what a special city and region we live and work in.
The Yankton area is rich in history and natural resources. However, our real strength lies within the hearts and deeds of the people of this wonderful community.
Community Involvment — Animal Hospital in Tankton, SD
The Animal Health Clinic provides free and discounted patient care to the Heartland Humane Society, Paws To Love Rescue and Yankton Animal Control as well as a few other rescue organizations. We support the local 4-H program and speak at local school and college career days. We are also an active member of the Yankton Chamber of Commerce and financially support the Progressive Growth campaigns.

The veterinarians and staff have contributed time, money and items to many individual and organizational fund raising events over the years. The Animal Health Clinic has also initiated fund raising events around the Holidays such as our Tree of Hope to provide food and pet related items to needy families and rescue pets. We have made both financial and silent auction package donations to the HHS Wine & Whiskers event every year that it has been held. We also have donated to The Center fundraising events for quite a few years. We also provide free first exams to any animal that has been adopted from any humane society or rescue organization in the area. In addition, the doctors and staff have made a Thanksgiving Dinner donation to families in need through the Yankton Area Contact Center the past few years. We donate just expired Hill's brand pet food to many organizations in town that help needy pets.
