Our Veterinarian

Dr. Cindy Franklin, DVM, MS

Dr. Cindy Franklin joined the Animal Health Clinic in 1987 after graduating from the Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Pennsylvania, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the Pennsylvania State University. In addition, she finished her Master of Science degree in Animal Bio-science from West Virginia University while attending Veterinary School.

Dr. Franklin is married to Gene Guenther and has two dogs, a Mini Australian Shepherd named Finn and a Dachshund named Sam. She has seven step grandchildren, the oldest being a veterinary technician at the practice. Professionally, she is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Society of Animal Science, has been named in the Who's Who in Veterinary Science and Medicine. She is currently the South Dakota alternate delegate to the House of Delegates of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

She is a past president of the SDVMA and has served on the Board of the South Dakota Veterinary Medical Association for 12 years. Dr. Franklin proudly served on the Yankton County Planning and Zoning Committee for a few years.
